To investigate the effects of maternal selenium deficiency on the functions of the placenta, we established a maternal selenium deficiency mice model fed with the selenium-deficient diet for 12 weeks before and during pregnancy.We then performed a transcriptome analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of the selenium-deficient and the control placentae.
