Single-cell transcriptome analysis of lung cancer brain metastasis in the cerebrospinal fluid

We analyzed the transcriptomes of over 1,000 cells from 5 lung adenocarcinoma leptomeningeal metastases patients and 3 control samples using single-cell RNA sequencing technology. We characterized gene expression profile of circulating tumor cells from brain metastases in the cerebrospinal fluid, and identified certain gene markers. Inter-patient and intra-patient heterogeneity were revealed. In addition, we profiled the transcriptome of one CUP (cancer of unkown primary) case.
