This work aims at searching for potent actinobacteria from natural resources and supplying them as the sources of novel bioactive metabolites. The draft genome of Streptomyces sioyaensis DSM 40032 was sequenced and served as the genomic data of the type species, which is a reference genome for further comparative evolutionary study of the related emerging bacteria.
