Data and code for: Sex-specific variance partitioning reveals strong spatial and social effects and limited heritability for home-range size in the Neotropical corn mouse
收藏资源简介:
This archive contains the curated data and R scripts associated with a quantitative-genetic analysis of home-range size, body mass, body length, and capture rate in the Neotropical corn mouse (Calomys musculinus) under semi-natural enclosure conditions. The workflow uses Bayesian animal models implemented in MCMCglmm to estimate sex-specific additive genetic variance and to partition phenotypic variance into additive genetic, permanent environment, family, enclosure-period, local spatial-context, and residual components. Additional analyses evaluate dyadic spatial proximity, treatment-specific variance expression, prior sensitivity, alternative fixed-effect parameterizations, and support for sex-specific versus pooled variance structures. The archive includes individual-by-session phenotypic data, dyadic home-range centroid distances, an augmented pedigree, and fully commented R scripts. Grid-cell identity was derived from home-range centroids and is therefore used only for analyses involving estimable home ranges.
