β0 is a constant offset, and the other β's are fit coefficients for Δθ, which is the angle of a pseudopod from its parent, Δθparent, which is the angle of the parent from the grandparent, Zparent, which takes the value 1 if the parent zig-zagged and 0 otherwise, Agp, which is the area of the grandparent, and Δt, which is the delay time since the grandparent stopped growing. As noted in the text, Agp is correlated with the other variables, and when it is tested in a single logistic regression, it is significant at P<0.05.
