A private label is a commercial brand for a product whose characteristics have been defined by the company or group of companies that retail the product and that owns the brand under which it is sold. As the organic sector is facing an increasing demand from French consumers, retailers have been developing their organic private labels. It seems that this is in their interest, since from a consumption perspective, it appears that in 2020, about seven French people out of ten consumed this type of product.
