资源简介:
The data presented here have been extracted from the four reports on the fisheries economy published by the Emilia-Romagna Region and available at https://agricoltura.regione.emilia-romagna.it/pesca/temi/pubblicazioni/osservatorio.
The data have been collected manually and standardised in the unit of measurement. Given the purpose of these reports, which is the economic analysis of the fisheries sector and not the ecological analysis of fisheries, the database is fragmentary and/or partially homogeneous in its coverage of the regional territory. However, it represents the information available and allows some trends to be deduced for certain species of fish, molluscs and crustaceans caught. The fragmentary nature of the data highlights the need for a systematic collection of such data for the purpose of analysing the environmental sustainability of fisheries.
The dataset is provided in two formats:
- Microsoft Excel XLSX file, including 3 sheets (Dataset, Fields and units, Taxonomy)
- CSV files (UTF-8), 3 files corresponding to the 3 sheets of the Excel file
The dataset includes the productions values of 18 taxa in 14 year for the Emilia-Romagna region, for a total of 252 records. The fields are described in Table 1.
All the dataset fields are described in the Excel sheet/CSV file “Fields and units”, while the taxonomic related information for the species commercialized is provided in the Excel sheet/CSV file “Taxonomy”. Information extracted from the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS; https://marinespecies.org/) is provided here (see details in Table 2).

This dataset permitted the analysis of catch trends of the main commercialized taxa in the Emilia-Romagna region. The data can be useful to investigate the species dynamic in the Adriatic Sea especially for the more vulnerable species such as anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus) and European pilchard (Sardina pilchardus) and to improve fishery management measures.
