This dataset contains the responses from a cross-sectional survey conducted with 1,507 adolescents in grades 5 to 9 across multiple regions in China. The study explores the relationship between adolescents' perception of school climate and their negative emotions, focusing on the mediating roles of school belonging, social avoidance and distress, and psychological resilience.The dataset includes the following key variables:<b>Perceived School Climate (PSC)</b>: Measured through student-reported assessments of teacher support, peer support, and autonomy opportunities.<b>Negative Emotions (NEE)</b>: Assessed through scales measuring depression, anxiety, and stress.<b>School Belonging (SCB)</b>: Reflecting students' sense of connection and acceptance within the school environment.<b>Social Avoidance and Distress (SAD)</b>: Measures discomfort in social interactions and avoidance tendencies.<b>Psychological Resilience (PSR)</b>: The capacity to cope with stress and adversity.Data is provided in [format], with each participant's responses anonymized to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
