Dataset for Sustainability Awareness and Scientific Literacy Study

The dataset for the Sustainability Awareness and Scientific Literacy Study contains research data collected from Grade 9 junior high school students. The study employed a pretest–posttest design to examine changes in students’ scientific literacy and sustainability awareness following an instructional intervention. The dataset includes students’ pretest and posttest scores on scientific literacy assessments, which measure conceptual understanding, data interpretation skills, and the application of scientific knowledge in sustainability-related contexts. In addition, it contains questionnaire data assessing students’ sustainability awareness across environmental, social, and economic dimensions using a Likert-scale instrument. The dataset also incorporates teachers’ questionnaire responses regarding the implementation process, perceived student development, and the effectiveness of the learning intervention. This dataset can be used for descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to explore learning gains and the relationship between sustainability awareness and scientific literacy.
