I collected the JSON from ERIC's API. The file is line-delimited JSON with one metadata record per line. The file is 3.2GB uncompressed and there are 1,994,167 records.
Information on the records' metadata schema is also included as a PDF which was available here: https://eric.ed.gov/pdf/ERIC_Field.pdf
