Spatial pattern analyses reveal alarming occurrence of medically important scorpions in urban Foz do Iguaçu

This dataset was developed to characterize in detail the spatial patterns of Tityus species in Foz do Iguaçu, highlighting areas that deserve special attention regarding scorpionism in the municipality. All the examined material is deposited in the IBSP collection (Instituto Butantan, São Paulo, Brazil). It corresponds to part of the results submitted to the journal Zoologia, authored by L.F.M. Iniesta, P. Goldoni, R.A. Castro-Souza, J. Cequinel, E. Marques-da-Silva, and A.D. Brescovit. The use of this dataset is currently restricted to the journal editor and reviewers. In due course, it will be made publicly available. The R packages associated with this dataset include: spatstat.geom, spatstat.explore, spdep, and psych.
