Visible Korean male head dataset: sectioned images, segmented images, 7.0 T MRI data, and 3D models

This record provides the Visible Korean male head dataset as an integrated data package. The dataset is based on serial sectioned images of a 67-year-old male cadaveric head and includes the original sectioned images, segmented images, 7.0 T MRI data, three-dimensional surface models, and a real-color volume model. The sectioned image dataset contains 2,343 true-color TIFF images with a pixel size of 0.1 mm × 0.1 mm, a section interval of 0.1 mm, and 48-bit color. The segmented image dataset contains 235 color-coded BMP images generated at 1.0-mm intervals, in which 300 head structures are represented by distinct colors. The 7.0 T MRI data were acquired from the same cadaveric head and are provided for anatomical comparison. The surface model dataset contains 300 STL files reconstructed from the segmented images. The real-color volume model is provided as a compressed NIfTI file with an isotropic voxel size of 0.5 mm × 0.5 mm × 0.5 mm. The dataset is intended for reuse in anatomy education, anatomical research, visualization, three-dimensional reconstruction, image-based analysis, and computational modeling. A README file describes the data components, file formats, image resolution, voxel size, section interval, color depth, and file size.
