Repeated Waves of Colonization of a Great Speciator

Our goal for this study was to revisit a classic system for studying speciation, the Fiji whistler (Pachycephala vitiensis). We sequenced samples from across their range to understand how isolation and gene flow shaped genetic divergence and plumage evolution. Additionally, we are submitting samples originally sequenced for another project that we used to provide temporal and phylogenetic context for the genus.
