资源简介:
Bacteria belonging to the Roseobacter group are of ecological interest because they inhabit a variety of different marine habitats and exhibit versatile physiological properties. The genus Pseudooceanicola belongs to the Roseobacter group and currently comprises eight species with validly published names, isolated from seawater or marine sediments. Pseudooceanicola spp. grow between 4 and 40°C and tolerate salt concentrations between 0.5 and 9 % w/v, allowing them to grow in a variety of different habitats. We sequenced the genome and characterized the physiological properties of a new isolate, strain Lw-13e, affiliated with the genus Pseudooceanicola, showing less than 97% similarity on 16S rRNA gene level to the described Pseudooceanicola species. Thus, strain Lw-13e represents a new species within the genus Pseudooceanicola, the first that was isolated from the marine macroalga Fucus spiralis.
