Additional file 1. Results of the chemical analysis of the bone samples. Concentrations are given in µg g−1 except for Ca which is given in wt%. The uncertainty quoted is ± 1 standard deviation. When below LOQ, the result is designated < LOQ. Blank entries indicate that the analysis has failed or not been done. Also given are laboratory numbers (KLR-no.); field grave numbers; sex; estimated age interval at death; the bone sampled for analysis. All samples are cortical tissue.
