Prevalence of overweight minors in Italy 2020-2021, by gender and age

During 2020 and 2021, the share of overweight minors in Italy was equal to 27 percent. This statistic breaks down this figure by gender and age of the kids. According to the data, being overweight was mostly common among male children aged between six and ten years old. Indeed, among the male kids belonging to this age group, 36.5 percent of them were overweight. For female minors, overweight was most common in the three to five years old age group.
