资源简介:
Almost no public opinion research has been conducted to date on the general topic of contaminated sites at a national level. To address this gap, Environment Canada commissioned Environics Research Group to conduct a benchmark survey early in 2005 to establish a reference base of public opinion on the broad issues surrounding this topic. The purpose of this research is to measure Canadian public opinion on the issue of contaminated sites to provide a baseline from which future studies can be conducted to measure changes in opinions in response to government communications initiatives. The research consisted of telephone interviews conducted March 3 to 20, 2005, with a representative sample of 2,001 Canadians (18 years and older).. The sample was stratified by province and territory to ensure adequate subsamples for both rural and territorial populations. A national sample of this size will provide results accurate to within plus or minus 2.2 percentage in 19 out of 20 samples.
