Vulgo Names and Historical House Identifiers in Carinthia (Austria)

This dataset documents historical house designations — in particular Vulgonamen (traditional house names) and historical house numbers — of selected properties in the Austrian federal state of Carinthia. The aim of the dataset is to link historical references to houses and farms with their current cadastral identification and geographic location. The dataset is based on verifiable information derived from primary sources such as parish registers, cadastral records, land registers, and historical newspapers. It provides a georeferenced link between historical house identifiers and present-day properties and is intended to support genealogical research, house and farm research, settlement history, historical geography, and regional architectural history.
