The 397 metabolite abandance of longissimus dorsi muscle across 116 cattle

Muscle tissues from 116 steers (∼24 months) were extracted (methanol:acetonitrile:water 2:2:1, with 2 μg/mL L-2-chlorophenyl alanine), vortexed, homogenized, and centrifuged. Supernatants were dried, reconstituted in 50% acetonitrile, and centrifuged before UHPLC–Q Exactive™ mass spectrometry analysis. Data were batch-corrected with SERRF, merged, deduplicated, and log2-transformed for analysis.
