Improving secondary prevention of stroke using digital health

The focus of this PhD was digital health programs for the secondary prevention of stroke. Firstly, I summarised the existing literature as a topical review including considerations for translation into real-world use. Secondly, I conducted a substudy of a randomised controlled trial of an electronic selfmanagement program to assess factors associated with secondary prevention goal attainment, and evaluated the feasibility of a novel multicomponent digital health program. Lastly, I estimated the costs of implementing these programs. Collectively, the findings contribute new knowledge for the use of digital health programs to improve secondary prevention of stroke in the community.
