We have simulated a subset of the earthquake events that are included in the NGA-West2 database (Ancheta et al. 2014) for southern California. Figure 1 shows the event locations and the locations of the “stations” where ground motions are computed. The data produced are three-component velocity histories, which are used to compute a variety of intensity measures including response spectra and duration. The time series have a highest usable frequency of 1.0 Hz.
