Microbial diversity on biofilms in RAS

In order to explore the dynamic change and evolution pattern of microbial communities as well as the main functional groups and their roles in biofilter of recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) during the biofilm formation, this study investigated the composition, interaction networks and phenotype of biofilm bacterial communities at different stages of biofilm formation in RAS of largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides), using 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing, microbial ecological network and BugBase phenotype prediction.
