Relationship between the airborne bacterial community structure and chemical composition in fine and coarse particulate matter at two sites in Japan

This study was conducted to explore correlations between the dominant bacterial genera and chemical species and to estimate the likely sources for the dominant taxa in fine and coarse particulate matter. To study the characteristics of airborne bacterial community composition and diversity, we used high-throughput sequencing. We also conducted a comprehensive analysis of chemical components in the two size fractions.
