Insect Abundance within Grassland and Woodlots at York University

The quadrat was randomly set down within the observation site. The timer was set for 1 minute. The observation area was then inspected by the recorder's eyes at ground level for living insect activity, occasionally being stirred to ensure that every insect within the observation space was observed and recorded.
