In 2024, a hiring freeze in cybersecurity teams was the most frequent cutback experienced by organizations worldwide, as highlighted by nearly 40 percent of respondents. Moreover, budget cuts in cybersecurity were also reported by 37 percent of respondents. Overall, one-fourth of global respondents saw their organization laying off cybersecurity employees in 2024.
