THE ROLE OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS PRODUCTION IN THE LOCAL ECONOMY

This article examines the role of construction materials production in the local economy. The construction materials industry is considered a key component of industrial development, as it provides essential inputs for the construction sector and significantly influences economic growth, employment, and regional development. The study analyzes the contribution of local production of materials such as cement, bricks, steel, and concrete to reducing import dependency, stabilizing construction costs, and supporting infrastructure development. It also highlights the impact of investment, technological modernization, and government support on the efficiency of the construction materials industry. The findings show that the development of domestic construction materials production strengthens economic stability and enhances the competitiveness of the national construction sector.
