Average tilts (± SD) of rotation planes of experimental angular eye velocity, obtained from sinusoidal fits of slow phase angular eye velocity, follow approximately the half-angle rule. In contrast, average tilts (±SD) of rotation planes of reconstructed angular eye velocity based on equation 3 accorded with the half-angle rule in terms of estimated average gaze eccentricity.
