Replication Data for: Cleaner Air, Unchanged Assessments: Environmental Satisfaction as an Indicator of Measured Air Quality in European Cities, 2012–2023

Replication package for a manuscript currently under double-anonymous review. The archive contains the NetLogo agent-based model and its BehaviorSpace experiment definitions, an independent Python reference implementation of the same model, the analysis scripts used for calibration, global sensitivity analysis and the mechanism-elimination test, the processed city-level data tables, the harmonisation matrix linking survey waves to objective and institutional data sources, and run instructions with software versions. The study links four waves (2012–2023) of the DG REGIO Perception Survey on the Quality of Life in European Cities to European Environment Agency air-quality monitoring and Covenant of Mayors institutional records for up to 79 European cities, and tests whether the survey's environmental-satisfaction item tracks measured air quality within cities. Raw survey, monitoring and institutional data are not redistributed here; all are open secondary sources, and their URLs are listed in the accompanying documentation.
