Chromosome-level genome assembly of vegetable leafminer, Liriomyza sativae (Diptera: Agromyzidae)

The vegetable leafminer, Liriomyza sativae Blanchard, 1938 (Diptera: Agromyzidae), is a highly polyphagous invasive pest that poses a significant threat to a wide range of vegetable crops. However, genomic resources for this species remain unavailable, hindering our understanding of its invasive traits and extensive adaptability. In this study, we generated the first chromosome-level genome assembly for L. sativae, based on MGI short-read, PacBio HiFi long-read and Hi-C sequencing technology.
