THE IMPACT OF ENTEROBIOSIS AND OTHER HELMINTOSES ON URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS IN CHILDREN

The article analyzes the clinical significance of enterobiosis and other helminth infections in the development, recurrence, and differential diagnosis of urinary tract infections in children. Although most pediatric urinary tract infections are bacterial in origin, parasitic invasions may contribute to urinary symptoms through perianal contamination, vulvovaginitis, local irritation, migration of helminths into the genital or urinary tract, and secondary bacterial colonization.
