Sacred tree motif in Kyrgyz epic

This article is dealing with motif of the sacred tree in Kyrgyz epic, in comparison with materials of world folklore. The aim of this research is to show the artistic images of the archaic motifs in Kyrgyz epic of mythological and poetic contexts. Objectives of study were to determine the role of archaic motifs in the formation and development of epic by using the comparative-typological method of folklore study.
