Microbial community response to a oil and gas wastewater spill in North Dakota over 3 years

This study tracked changes in streambed sediment microbial community structure following a spill of oil and gas wastewater into Blacktail Creek, ND. Sediment samples were acquired up- and downstream from the spill. The changes in microbial community structure were evaluated based on MiSeq sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene.
