Aim: This report described the complete genome of a linezolid-resistant methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus strain, MS4_LZD100. Significance and applications: The genome of this methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus MS4_LZD100can be used as reference to study the phylogenics characteristic of linezolid-resistant MRSA worldwide. Moreover，the genome sequence provides a map for the reevaluation of the phenotypes and facilliates broader applications of this organism for comparison of genotypic differences among members of this species.
