The genomics project is aiming to isolate and sequence bacteria involved in the solubilization of plant nutrients. Developing genomic resources will help to better explore such bacteria for sustainable agriculture. The genome sequence we are submitting is of a bacteria which was isolated from the paddy field in Punjab. It has the ability to solubilize insoluble silicate. The project involved a group of scientists and Ph.D. students working at different institutes in India. The list of contributors is as below.
