Dataset for Effects of Dry Needling, Neuromuscular Taping, and a Kinesiotherapy Program on Quality of Life in Older Adults
收藏资源简介:
Version 2.0 This dataset contains anonymized individual-level data from a randomized comparative intervention study investigating the effects of dry needling, neuromuscular taping, and a kinesiotherapy program on the quality of life of older adults. Participants were randomly allocated to one of four intervention groups: Dry Needling (DN) Neuromuscular Taping (NMT) Kinesiotherapy (KTA) Combined Therapy (DN + NMT + KTA) The dataset contains individual pre-intervention and post-intervention measurements for each participant. Collected outcome measures include: Pain intensity assessed using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) Health-related quality of life assessed using the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire Functional independence assessed using the Modified Barthel Index Functional motor performance assessed using the Senior Fitness Test (SFT) Body composition assessed using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) Anthropometric characteristics Vital signs The dataset contains data from 44 anonymized participants and includes no personally identifiable information. Version 2.0 substantially expands the original release by providing: an extended set of research variables; detailed Modified Barthel Index item-level variables; an expanded Codebook; Data Quality Notes; improved documentation supporting reproducibility and secondary analyses. The dataset has been prepared in accordance with the FAIR data principles to enhance transparency, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of research data. The dataset is associated with the corresponding doctoral research and may be used for secondary analyses, educational purposes, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and reproducibility studies in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
