Biomarker and isotopic evidence for a Pliocene increase in C₄ plant abundance during lake shrinkage in the central Himalaya

This dataset contains the numerical data underlying the figures and tables in the associated study of late Miocene–Pliocene vegetation, hydroclimate, temperature, and paleoelevation evolution in the Gyirong Basin, Himalaya. It includes sample information, n-alkane distributions and indices, compound-specific carbon and hydrogen isotope ratios, brGDGT distributions and reconstructed temperatures, paleoelevation estimates, and published regional comparison records. The data are provided in Microsoft Excel format, with individual worksheets corresponding to the relevant tables, figures, variables, and data sources.
