Three-Stage Coding Appendices

This database contains two supplementary appendices that jointly demonstrate the three-stage qualitative coding process adopted in the study. Appendix 1 (Example of the Three-Stage Coding Process) provides a detailed illustration of how interview transcripts from teachers and industrial heritage explainers were coded and categorized through the first-level, second-level, and third-level stages using NVivo 12. Appendix 2 (Grounded Theory Coding) serves as a refined synthesis of Appendix 1, consolidating and abstracting the initial results into higher-level categories and thematic dimensions. Together, these appendices offer a clear, systematic representation of the full coding workflow, ensuring methodological transparency and analytical reliability.
