Food Security Usage Data Descriptors

Data files and code supporting the article: 'Usage data descriptors as metadata: the case of food security and the National Data Platform (2015-2025)' published in Nature Scientific Data. The repository contains structured data-usage descriptors linking datasets to publications, citations, authors, institutions, and journals for food security research. It includes three primary CSV files (USDA publication-dataset pairs, additional discovered dataset pairs, and dataset joins), five supporting files (summary tables, data dyads, seed dataset list, additional dataset list, and a data dictionary), dataset-centric JSON-LD descriptors using schema.org vocabulary, and the full source code for the data extraction service and LLM-powered publication analysis pipeline.
