Geochemical anomalies of a magnetic ferrobasalt find in the Bryansk region: A potential Martian-type meteorite candidate.

This dataset presents the results of bulk analysis (ICP-MS) of a sample found in 2016 in the Bryansk region (Russia). The sample is characterized by ratios anomalous for terrestrial basalts: K/Th = 5089 (Martian trend) and Ga/Al = 3.6 (A-type magmatism). High contents of iron (17.4%), titanium (4.8%), and phosphorus (1.3%), combined with magnetic properties and low LOI (0.74%), distinguish this sample from typical terrestrial analogues. The presence of veins with As = 160 ppm indicates a unique hydrothermal history. The find is timed to the trajectory of a bolide observed 6.5 years prior to its discovery.
