Bacterial wilt is one of the most serious disease affecting the production and quality of many plants worldwide. We isolated a strain from an infected patchouli and found it was a new pathogen of bacterial wilt, named it Kosakonia sp. Pa82 . To understand the genetic background and the pathogenic mechanism of the pathogen, complete genome was sequenced and analyzed.
