资源简介:
Four archaeological sites in the Vermilion Cliffs area approximately 26
miles east of Kanab, Utah were sampled for pollen/macrofloral
analysis during archaeological testing. These Kayenta-Virgin Anasazi sites
are located in the Sonoran vegetation zone or southwestern Utah. Local
vegetation includes primarily Juniperus (juniper), Artemisia (sagebrush),
and Graminae (grasses). Pollen and macrofloral analyses at these sites were
directed towards the identification of the floral portion of the subsistence
base and examination of possible activity areas within sites 42KA2584 and
42KA2594.
