WGS_of_the_Nubpl1_mouse_line. WGS_of_the_Nubpl1_mouse_line

The mouse line Nubpl1 was found to have a strong infection phenotype when challenged with Salmonella. However when this line was moved to faculty breeding and re-challenged it was noticed that the phenotype segregated away from the Nubpl1 genotype suggesting that there was a secondary mutation. There are very few genes which have such a strong Salmonella phenotype and none to our knowledge that have this phenotype when heterozygous. This could potentially be an extremely important gene for controlling infection
