POOR QUALITY AUDIO. Salem Hamdan (85 years old from al-Ubeidiya) interviewed by Ibrahim Salem. <br>He discusses the following: locust plague and how it covered the land; a man told them to dig a hole in the ground and fill it with Saej (صاج) to get rid of the locusts; spread of diseases such as cholera. <br>Original audio recording: cassette tape. Transcript: word for word. In the original collection at Bethlehem University this cassette tape was categorised as File 23 of Box 18. <br>This fileset exists as part of the Ottoman Empire and World War I collection within the Bethlehem University Oral History Project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.<br>
