资源简介:
This dataset accompanies a paper entitled, "'What Counts as Research? Comparing Policy Guidelines to the Evidence Education Leaders Report as Useful" and is part of a larger study of knowledge utilization among school and district leaders in the US. The complete dataset for the survey portion of that study can be found at: https://www.openicpsr.org/openicpsr/project/115824/version/V1/view.

This dataset includes responses to an open-ended item included on that survey that that asked respondents to name a particular piece of research that they found useful in their work, providing as much information as possible so that we could locate it ourselves (i.e., title, author, year published, and topic), as well as why they found it useful. Data on survey piloting and validation activities for the survey, which involved extensive cognitive piloting of the survey instrument with leaders in different role groups are described in Author et al. (Penuel et al., 2016, 2017).

The dataset also includes the coding of the data used in the article.

Penuel, W. R., Briggs, D. C., Davidson, K. L., Herlihy, C., Sherer, D., Hill, H.
