PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cork stopper manufacturing method which can form even coating film on end surfaces and is simple and to provide a cork stopper with high sealability which can be easily unplugged. SOLUTION: A cork stopper manufacturing method transfers a coating agent to an end surface 2 of a cylindrical cork molded body by pad printing and forms coating film on the end surface 2. And a cork stopper is made by forming coating film on a side surface and the end surface of the cylindrical cork molded body so that coating film is formed all over the end surface 2， and on a portion of the side surface 4 coating film is not formed.
