Vignettes on Unintentional Meaning

This dataset comprises a series of short stories that depict scenarios involving shared or distinct observational histories, and participants are required to make judgments on the interactions within these scenarios. Furthermore, participants are asked to answer a set of questions pertaining to their perceptions of the beliefs of speakers and listeners, as well as certain demographic information. One hundred participants evaluated ten short stories across two scenario conditions (distinct vs. shared observational histories), with these stories covering five distinct contextual backgrounds. This task is referred to as story-based interaction judgment.
