This study investigates the impact of e-learning system quality on instructor performance and the success of sustainability-focused e-learning in Indonesia, utilizing data from 206 respondents and analyzed using SmartPLS. The findings support three key hypotheses: (1) e-learning system quality positively influences instructor quality, (2) e-learning system quality positively impacts the success of sustainability-related e-learning, and (3) instructor quality positively affects the success of sustainability related e-learning. This research is particularly important for Indonesia, where the adoption of e-learning is rapidly growing, yet the quality of systems and instructor effectiveness remain critical challenges. As the country faces environmental issues, fostering sustainability education is a national priority, and e-learning provides a scalable solution to deliver this knowledge. The study offers valuable insights for Indonesian educational institutions and policymakers to improve e-learning platforms and teacher performance, ensuring more effective learning outcomes, especially in sustainability courses.. By exploring the link between technology and teaching quality, this study contributes to Indonesia’s broader digital transformation and its efforts to align educational practices with global sustainability goals.
