A price survey of one bottle of soy sauce across all supermarkets in the country revealed that the average price in October 2024 was 315 yen. Over the period from January 2015 to October 2024 (a span of 118 months), the highest price for soy sauce in supermarkets nationwide was recorded in September 2023 at 319 yen, while the lowest price was in April 2021 at 257 yen. The price difference between the peak and lowest price periods of soy sauce nationwide (September 2023 and April 2021) was 62.0618 yen.
