The estimated production volume of milled sugar was highest in the state of Maharashtra in India, amounting to12.2 million metric tons in 2022/2023. By contrast, the lowest production was in Punjab, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh with a production volume of 500 thousand metric tons during the same time period.
