Transcriptomic responses to bacterial infection in the hemocoel in mosquito Anopheles gambiae

Anopheles gambiae is a malaria vector. The mosquitoes have evolved an innate immune system through the interactions with various commensal and/or pathogenic microbes the mosquitoes encounter in their life cycles. Antibacterial immunity has been used as a model to study the innate immune system in mosquitoes. We conducted RNA-seq to characterize the transcriptomic responses to bacterial infections in the hemocoel in different contexts.
